Six of My Favorite Things

So recently, I've been getting into British television. This is odd for me, because, well, before this, I didn't really watch tv at all. However- there are these three shows that have captured my soul- and it's for a reason that I would have never realized had I not watched these programs. I had been missing out on something this significant my whole life!

I MEAN JUST LOOK AT THEM CHEEKBONES. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG.

hahaha, seriously though. I started watching Merlin this weekend, and half of the time I was watching it, I was just staring at that guy's FACE. All of them have such INTERESTING faces! WITH CHEEKBONES. HAVE I MENTIONED CHEEKBONES? DEAR GOODNESS THE CHEEKBONES.

I cannot help but draw! I love these interesting faces so! They're...well. Interesting!

This was my first time drawing Merlin though, so he looks a little odd. More cartoony than the rest of them. Oh well! I'll get better!

(Sudden realization. The Doctor is pretty much the combination of these other two guys. He's extremely clever and magical! Merlin + Sherlock = DOCTOR! <3 )

The Crew

So I did this drawing today!

For the summer, my friends and I have decided to do a writing marathon of sorts. We're calling it SUMO (SUmmer Months' Opus....because we're that cool) and it's a modification/easier version of NaNoWriMo.  And I am going to be writing this thing! I'm pretty excited to have another go at this, because since I first wrote it, quite a bit has changed. The biggest part is probably the cast. The first time, only three of these guys were really in it. Panner was in a scene. Or two. Jon was talked about- but his role has changed a LOT since then. And Laurel. Well. She actually WAS in the first go, but only very briefly in one scene. In fact, I was probably the only one to take notice to her. If we want to REALLY go into details- Curtis is the only one who wasn't in the first go at all. But honestly, if we look into it as actual character wise, the only ones who have stayed the same are Aaron and Day- and even THEY have changed a bit. I'm pretty sure this is going to be writing a whole new book in some respects. In other respects, not so much. Buuuut....Well. It'll be fun. New twists, new plot lines,  and hopefully a whole lot more creepiness.

Might I just say- our writing marathon starts May 16th. And I am rather excited for this!

( Side note: I LOVE Laurel. I expect for her to be popping up a lot in the rewrite )

Profile Pic!

So today I went about with shading practice. This is what I came up with

Honestly- I think this looks like a very creepy version of the facebook default profile picture. Seriously.

I think my favorite thing about this- there are no lines and you can still tell where the nose is. HA.

Next, I need to work on color. Seriously. what was I thinking with that background. *facepalm*
